We find you somewhere the sun is actually out

Sunny Days Travel looks at the forecast for the next week across a set of destinations, scores each one honestly, and shows you the short trips whose weather genuinely holds up — with flights and hotels attached, ready to book.

The problem we exist for

Booking a short break is a bet on the weather that you place weeks in advance with no information. Every travel site is happy to sell you a beach in the rain, because the sale is the same either way. Nobody's incentive is aligned with your Tuesday actually being sunny.

So we inverted it. Instead of picking a destination and hoping, you pick a departure city and a length of trip, and we tell you where the forecast is good right now.

The honesty stance

This is the whole product, so it is worth being blunt about. Our commercial interest is in you booking something. Our stated position is that we will not flatter bad weather to get there. Concretely, that means:

Today, a meaningful share of the destinations in our dataset have zero genuinely clear days in the coming week — including some that score well on temperature and dryness. We show that on the destination itself, and our methodology page deliberately uses one of those awkward cases as its worked example rather than a flattering one.

How we make money

We earn commission from accommodation suppliers on completed bookings. It is included in the price you see and is not added on top. We are not paid to rank a destination higher, and the weather score — which sets the ordering — is computed from forecast data alone, with no commercial input. The full model is published so that claim is checkable rather than merely asserted.

Who we are

Sunny Days Travel is a trading name of The Digital Carpenter, operating from New York. We are a travel intermediary: hotel bookings are fulfilled by LiteAPI and its supplier network, and your accommodation contract is with the property itself. The terms set that out in detail.
